Apple has this morning launched an 8GB versionof the iPhone 5c— a new budget offering for those willing to trade cut-down internal storage for a slightly reduced price tag. In the UK, a SIM-free 8GB iPhone 5c will set you back £429 directly from Apple’s online store — a saving of only £40 compared to the 16GB 5c, but a saving all the same.

Android 4.4.2 KitKat arrives on Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 3 unlocked handsets in the UK

Samsung has started rolling out its over-the-air updates of Android 4.4.2 KitKat to Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 handsets in the UK. It will begin with unlocked phones first, which have updates available now.

The update, at 300-400MB in size, brings users right up to speed with the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat meaning some subtle visual changes like the white notification bar icons.

Other extras Samsung owners can enjoy are immersive mode that allows an app to go full screen, a transparent notification bar, native cloud printing support and lock screen album art.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 3 Neoin India last week. It went on pre-order recently for a reduced price tag. The smartphone is now available in India from the official eStore. It has a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core or a Hexa-Core processor(1.7 GHz Dual Core Cortex A15+ 1.3 GHz Quad Core Cortex A7) and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).

Samsung has announced its new flagship smartphone the Samsung Galaxy S5 at its Samsung Unpacked 5 event at Mobile World Congress 2014.
As specs continue to climb, Samsung has innovated in new areas to keep the S5 fresh. Nokia X, X , XL Android smartphones finally launched

Nokia has unveiled the Nokia X, X , and Nokia X XL smartphones- its first Android devices – at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 and Idol 2 Mini come in separate 3G and 4G flavours


Alcatel has unveiled two, slim mid-range Android handsets on the eve of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, with both coming in 3G and 4G variants.

The 3G-enabled Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 has a 5-inch 960 x 540 IPS display, a 7.3mm waistline and 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It will sport an 8-mega pixel rear camerawith 1080p video recording capability and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. HD Audio is listed, as well as NFC and optional dual-SIM tech. It comes with Androi 4.2 from the box, but will get Android 4.4 KitKat via an over-the-air update in the future.
