Vodafone has opened pre-orders for the Sony Xperia Z2 Android phone and has announced that the first 3,000 customers to place their order will also get a free Sony Bravia 32-inch TV.
The phone will be available from 10 April and should you order it on one of Vodafone’s Red 4G plans, you will get unlimited UK calls and texts, monthly data from 3GB up to 13GB depending on the price plan you choose, and a KDL-32R433B television. The offer started today and will close on 9 April, or until the first 3,000 pre-orders have been bagged. Another alleged photo of the HTC M8 hasleaked from Twitter account HTCFamily.ru, highlighting what could be the design of HTC’s next-generation flagship and successor to the HTC One.
The photo shows a HTC M8 we’ve seen in leaks before, featuring on-screen buttons rather than capacitive buttons, a more rounded off design, and less bezel on the sides. It looks shockingly similar to a concept image shown-off last week by publication Nowhereelse, showing the top of the handset having a reduced speaker grille, vertical light sensor, and a front-facing camera. Nokia is getting ready to introduce an Android smartphone at Mobile World Congress this month. Nokia’s engineers were reportedly developing the Android device before Microsoft acquired Nokia’s handset business.
The Wall Street Journal reported – citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter – that the Nokia Android smartphone will target emerging markets, meaning it is a budget phone. The report also claimed the phone would lack fancy Google-developed features and would instead spotlight services by Nokia and Microsoft such as Here maps and Mix Radio.
