Low key arrival for Nokia’s latest budget Windows Phone
The Lumia 525 is an update of the 520, with a launch sneaked out by Nokia overnight with pretty much no fanfare. It keeps the swappable covers of the previous model (orange, yellow and white), but doubles the amount of RAM inside to 1GB. That’s the main difference here, with a similar 4-inch screen, a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus (but still without a flash) and a dual-core Qualcomm S4 processor.
Another difference is the new Lumia apps pre-installed on the phone, with the extra memory probably coming in handy running them, although Nokia flags it up as being a benefit when playing games. Aside from that, it’s business as usual, with a launch likely for the UK, although as yet launch details aren’t available.
When we hear more, we’ll let you know, But don’t expect it to break the bank when it does arrive.
