Samsung is rumoured to release its new flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone as early as March. It will come in both plastic and metal versions.
According to Korean news site ET News the manufacturing of the S5 handset will begin in Vietnam this January 2014 for a release at the end of that quarter.
This wouldn’t fit the usual release cycle of Samsung’s flagship handsets but with reports of the S4 not selling as well as planned this S5 release being moved forward makes sense.

Much like Apple has done with the iPhone 5S and 5C Samsung will be releasing two flagship handsets, says ET News. These will both have the same specifications but the high end one will have a metal chassis and flexible screen and the more affordable version will have a plastic case with normal screen.
Other rumoured specs include a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen at 560ppi, a 64-bit processor, a 16-megapixel camera with OIS, 3GB of RAM and 4000mAh battery. Samsung is also reportedly planning a wrap-around screen but this may be in another device.
